WebMedley, looking for someone to join our team
As one of the changes happening at WebMedley, we’re looking for one person to join our team and take on the position of Client Relationship Manager.
The position name doesn’t encompass all of the responsibilities and benefits of the position. This role serves as the primary point of contact for a number of clients, project manager for small custom development gigs, and a budding web guru.
Allow me to say a bit about the “primary point of contact” and “budding web guru” parts. We’re looking for someone with client management experience and a person who has lived online. Anyone working with our clients should have experience working with people, be fun to work with, and have a helpful personality.
The “budding web guru” is a phrase meaning someone who already has a blog, understands the impact of social media and web tools and can teach others how to use these tools to grow their organization. If we have to teach HTML or social media trends, then its not for them.
Ideally, this person understands the web hosting and content management systems we use.
Behaviors we look for…
- naturally happy
- trustworthy
- likes working with people
- can act as a client consultant — putting oneself in the clients’ shoes and understand their issues
- open to working with people of multiple faiths
- self starting — everyone has new revenue targets at WebMedley
- able to grasp new concepts quickly and communicate them to others
- enjoys working
- able to be a jack of all trades
- understands web hosting and the basics of networking so you can talk to the tech team
- well networked — online and off
We are not looking for a person with only one skill — so, if you are only a graphic designer or only a sales person, or only a customer service person, then this is not the right position for you.
We have a great work environment and hope to keep the company below 30 people over the next few years. There are no fixed days on or days off work — if your clients are happy and new revenue is coming in, then you are in charge of your position.
Hiring timeline…this is a tough one. If we find the right person, we may pull the trigger in January. If not, we’ll wait until we find him/her.
If you know of someone who may fit, please have them contact me (Bill).
